During our visit to Edinburgh, we hired a mobile hoist for my husband, who sadly has Motor Neurone Disease.
The hoist malfunctioned upon arrival. I promptly reported the issue and was informed that no one was available to repair or inspect the equipment. As a result, we had to lift my husband manually, which caused him significant discomfort and posed a safety concern.
I reported again upon returning home, and again, no one was available. A week later, after further attempts to obtain my refund, they sent a rude email advising me that the hoist functioned as intended. I provided video evidence that suggests otherwise, but they have since ceased responding to my subsequent messages.
Not only are they violating the law by not refunding my money for defective goods, their lack of customer care is unacceptable and unprofessional.and caused a lot of unneeded distress for my husband
